On April 20, Fetters Construction joined members of the Huntington Board, university students and onlookers for a ceremonial groundbreaking. The Ware Plant Science Production Facility will be located on the north side of the Dowden Science Building on campus. Fetters Construction is excited to begin this project with Huntington University.
Fetters Construction was onsite at the East Noble Middle School Groundbreaking on September 14. The $37.1 M project is expected to open in August 2018 at a site on Drake Road. Fetters Construction is serving as the General Contractor for the project. Beth Ann Gibson, Project Manager and Mitch Steury, Field Superintendent, are taking lead on the project for Fetters Construction.
It’s becoming more than something discussed in a meeting or architectural drawings. One can drive by on Kern Road just south of the Eagles building and see the beginning stages of a new school being built.
On Tuesday, Oct. 20, the official groundbreaking ceremony was held for what will become the new Syracuse Elementary School. It is just west of the high school campus across Kern Road. Some of the earth work at the site has been in progress for more than a week.
During the brief ceremony attended by school administrators and staff from the current Syracuse Elementary, officials from Fetters Construction and architectural firm Barton-Coe-Vilamaa and others, a few comments were made by Rebecca Linnemeier, Wawasee school board president, and Eric Speicher, Syracuse Elementary principal. Speicher noted it has taken quite a bit of work just to get to the beginning stages of construction and he thanked Barton-Coe-Vilamaa, Fetters Construction and the school board for their efforts and cooperation.
Dr. Tom Edington, Wawasee Community School Corp. superintendent, said because of the tax rate the timing was right for a new building and it should be one that will last for several years.

Fetters Construction Inc. has been awarded the Fairfield Jr./Sr. High School Additions and Renovations project. Work will begin at the end of March 2015 with an estimated completion date of August 2016. The current contract amount for the project is $5,359,150.00. Beth Ann Gibson is the Project Manager.
Fetters Construction is working with Design Consultants Inc. on an $800,000 contract at Rise Inc. in Angola, Indiana. Additions & Renovations to the building will start Spring 2015. Tony Dembickie is the Project Manager.
Fort Wayne Community Schools accepted Fetters Construction’s bid for the 2015 Window Replacements and Masonry Restoration at Levan Scott Academy. This project is part of the School Building Basic Renewal / Restoration and Safety Project. The contract amount for this project is $672,300. Austin Conrad is the Project Manager.
Westview School Corporation accepted Fetters Construction’s bid for the Westview Jr./Sr. High School Fitness Addition. Notice of Award was delivered December 12, 2014. The Fitness Center Addition contract amount is $1,492,750. Tony Dembickie is the Project Manager.
