Khris Royer was honored as a 2016 Change Maker by the DeKalb County Community Foundation for his work on the Auburn-Waterloo Trail Pavilion. Khris, Superintendent at Fetters Construction, worked many hours with other suppliers to complete the pavilion. Khris and three other volunteers met on a Saturday on their own time to finish the final touches.
Several Fetters Construction employees attended the BCA Awards Banquet on April 21, 2016. The company was awarded a 2016 Safety Excellence Award, accepted by Eric Pedersen.
Fetters Construction nominated Kevin Parks and Mitch Steury, Field Superintendents, for Supervisor Safety Awards. They are two of the many Fetters’ Superintendents that have kept their job sites safe in 2015 and many years prior. Congratulations to Kevin and Mitch!
Fetters Construction nominated two superintendents for BCA Supervisor awards. Lynn Lehrman & Brian Schemahorn were awarded with this honorary award from the Builders Contractors Association. The awards were presented at the BCA Spring Membership Dinner & Awards Banquet in April.
Lynn was hired on as a Superintendent with the company in May 1995. He has done an outstanding job in his nearly 20 years at Fetters Construction and has successfully ran and completed all of the jobs he was assigned to. We are confident we will continue to see productive work from Lynn.
Brian started as a Carpenter with Fetters Construction in June 2008 and was quickly promoted to Superintendent a few months later. In his 7 years as a Superintendent with the company, Brian has ran small to large jobs and was more than capable to start and finish each one. We are very pleased with the work Brian has done and the drive he has to continue putting out that work.
The Safety Excellence award for the General Contractor class for 2015 has been awarded to Fetters Construction. The award will be presented at the BCA Spring Membership Dinner & Awards Banquet in April. This award is an honor to those who maintain a successful safety program to promote safe job sites for their employees.
Just recently, Taylor’s Dream was just recently voted 21st best playground in the United States by the Early Childhood Education Zone, a blog created for educators and parents looking for resources and inspiration. The playground was the only playground in Indiana to make the list of 50 top U.S. playgrounds.
Kreager Park in Fort Wayne, Indiana is host to Taylor’s Dream: Boundless Playground. It is Indiana’s first Boundless Playground. This playground which includes a splash pad, three circular pods and activity areas, has been made accessible to all children, including those with disabilities. It provides activities that have been planned for therapeutic and learning purposes. Fetters Construction Inc. completed the project in May 2011 and the park had their grand opening June 10, 2011.
Chris Morgan and David Hosted of Fetters Construction Inc. successfully completed the OSHA 30-hour Construction Industry Outreach Training course. This course provides complete information on OSHA compliance issues. During this course, Chris and David acquired further knowledge about general safety, health provisions, fire protection, job site safety, and other important construction safety topics. After completing each module and passing the tests, Chris and David received a DOL Construction Outreach course completion card. We are very proud of them for completing this course!
Nucor Building Systems presented Fetters Construction Inc. of Auburn, Indiana with the 2013 Sales Achievement Award. This award is in recognition for excellent sales performance.
Young Leaders of Northeast Indiana aim to develop young professionals into leaders by providing them ample opportunities for them to socialize and continue to put their knowledge to use in the area. Fetters Construction Inc.’s Austin Conrad, Assistant Project Manager, recently completed the Leadership Institute training and will be attending their graduation. The 2014 YLNI Leadership Institute Graduation is being held on Thursday April 24th, 2014 at Parkview Field Suite Level Lounge starting at 6:00 pm. We congratulate Austin on his achievement!
The Building Contractors Association of Northeast Indiana awarded Science Central – Science on a Sphere the 2014 BCA Excellence in Construction Award in the “Renovation – Under $2 million” category. The project was submitted by Fetters Construction Inc. of Auburn, Indiana who was the general contractor of the project and Design Collaborative of Fort Wayne, Indiana as the architect. The 1,300 square foot exhibit’s construction cost was $203,800. Construction started in April 2013 and was completed in September 2013. Science Central and Fetters Construction Inc. accepted the award at the BCA Spring Membership Dinner on Thursday, April 17th.
